Triggered emails can be used within the application to respond to reply mail and to send email list opt-in confirmation messages.

Emails triggered outside these use cases require the use of both the application interface and the API. The pages below cover the tools in the application interface. You can read more about the API in the Triggered Emails Scenario Guide for Developers.
