This page present conceptual and procedural information about the Subscription Center.
A subscription center is a web page where a subscriber can control the messages they receive from your organization. The lists you identify as "public" in the application are available for a subscriber to opt-in to on the subscription center.
The ExactTarget application can automatically add a link to the subscriber's personal subscription center to every email that you send. Subscribers can follow this link to adjust their subscriptions to your messages.
If a subscriber forwards an email to another person via an email client instead of Forward To A Friend, the links contained in the email will lead to the original subscriber's Subscription Center page. This also applies to the Profile Center and Unsubscribe links.
To help protect the privacy of your subscribers, be sure that the information you enter in the Subscription Center does not include sensitive or extremely personal information. Include only the information your subscriber needs to manage subscriptions and nothing more.
Use a subscription center to view all publications available to a subscriber. Direct your subscribers to a subscription center to opt-out of any publications.
The Subscription Center is accessed from the Profile Center. To see what the Subscription Center looks like to a subscriber, follow these steps:
Choose the Preview Profile Center option.
Click the Subscription Center link that you'll see on the left side of the Profile Center web page.
Note the following about the Subscription Center:
The Available Publications section displays all lists that are defined in your account as public. The subscriber can choose to subscribe to or unsubscribe from any of them.
The Unsubscribe from All option allows the subscriber to remove himself or herself from all of your publications.
