What Is the Unengaged Subscribers for a List Report
The Unengaged Subscribers for a List report shows you which subscribers are unresponsive to your email sends. You define what list you want to view data for, thus defining which subscribers you view.
Note: This report includes all of the statistics for the subscribers on the list, regardless of whether the information resulted from a send to this list. If a subscriber is on two lists, the tracking for both lists appears on this report, even though you specify only one list in this report.
The Unengaged Subscribers for a List report contains a table with the following information:
| Column | Description |
| Email Address | The subscriber for which you are viewing data. |
| Delivered | The number of email sends that ExactTarget has delivered to the subscriber. |
| Opens | The number of email sends that subscriber has opened. |
| Clicks | The number of clicks that subscriber has performed after opening the email(s). |
Why Run the Unengaged Subscribers for a List Report
Run the Unengaged Subscribers for a List report to view who your most inactive subscribers are. This information can help when trying to target certain lists or subscribers as well as cleaning up your lists. You might consider removing subscribers that appear in this report or at least asking them if they'd still like to receive your email communications.
How to Run the Unengaged Subscribers for a List Report
Use the following steps to run the report:
- Click the Tracking tab in the navigation bar.
- Click my reports.
- Click Subscriber Reports.
- Click Unengaged Subscribers for a List.
- Fill out the following fields:
- Start Date - The report starts gathering data at 12:00 a.m. on the date you define here.
- End Date - The report stops gathering data at 11:59 p.m. on the date you define here.
- List - Choose the list or group from which you wish to gather data.
- Delivered Greater Than - The number of emails delivered to the subscriber. For example, if you type "1" into this field, only subscribers that have received one or more emails will appear in the report.
- Opens Less Than - The number of opens the subscriber performed. For example, if you type "1" into this field, only subscribers who opened zero emails will appear in the report.
- Clicks Less Than - The number of clicks the subscriber performed. For example, if you type "1" into this field, only subscribers who clicked zero times will appear in the report.
- Time Zone - Any time-related data will display in the time zone you choose. Also, the time zone affects the Start Date and End Date fields you defined previously.
- Date Format - Any date-related data will display in the format you choose.
- Report Results Delivery - You have three options:
- Save Report for FTP - Choosing this option saves the report in your Enhanced FTP directory in a reports folder. You must define a file name.
- Email the Report Results - Choosing this option emails you a copy of the report. You must fill out an email address, subject, and any comments you want included in the body of the email. Separate multiple email addresses with a semi-colon, but note the field has a 100 character limit.
- Results File Format - Choose the output file type you'd like to save the report as: .CSV, .XLS, or .MHT
- Run The Report - You can choose to either run the report immediately or schedule to run it later. If you choose to schedule the report, you must define a date and time.
- Click Submit.
Note: The report may take several minutes to render. The report will stop running if it has been active for more than three hours.
