What Is the Response Trend Analysis for an Email Send Report
The Response Trend Analysis report tracks subscriber response to a send over a period of time you specify.

The Response Trend Analysis report contains graphs to illustrate the trends for Opens, Clicks, Unsubscribes, Opens versus Clicks, and Sends. The report also contains a table with the following information:
| Column | Description |
| Interval Start Time | The time interval into which the responses are divided on the report. You select the interval size when you run the report. |
| Sent | The number of emails sent during the time interval. The gray column is a cumulative total of emails sent for all intervals to that point. |
| Bounced | The number of emails bounced during the time interval. The gray column is the cumulative total of bounces for all intervals to that point. |
| Unique Opened | The number of subscribers that opened the email during the interval. The gray column contains the cumulative total of opens for all intervals to that point. These values count only the first time a subscriber opens an email. |
| Opened | The number of emails opened during the interval. The gray column contains the cumulative total of opens for all intervals to that point. These values count all opens of the email. |
| Unique Clicked | The number of emails clicked during the interval. The gray column contains the cumulative total of clicks for all intervals to that point. These values count only one click per email. |
| Clicked | The number of email clicks during the interval. The gray column contains the cumulative total of clicks for all intervals to that point. These values count all clicks in the email. |
| Unsubscribes | The number of unsubscribes from the email during the interval. The gray column contains the cumulative total of unsubscribes for all intervals to that point. |
Why Run the Response Trend Analysis for an Email Send Report
Run the Response Trend Analysis for an Email Send report to analyze when subscribers respond to your email relative to when you send it. For example, if you want to send an announcement of an event at a specific time, you might run this report against other sends to determine how far in advance you must send the message to ensure that the majority of your subscribers open it.
How to Run the Response Trend Analysis for an Email Send Report
Use the following steps to run the report:
- Click the Tracking tab in the navigation bar.
- Click my reports.
- Click Tracking Reports.
- Click Response Trend Analysis for an Email Send.
- Complete the information in the Report Parameters section:
| Email Send | The email send to analyze with the report |
| Limit Unit | The unit of measure of the Limit Quantity field. Valid values include: |
| Limit Quantity | The number of time intervals to include on the report. For example, if you select Hours in the Limit Unit field and enter 24 in this field, the report will contain response data for the 24 hours after the time of the send. |
| Interval Unit | The unit of measure of the Interval Quantity field. Valid values include: |
| Interval Quantity | The numbers of units in each division of response data. For example, if you select Hours in the Interval Unit field and enter 2 in this field, the report data will be presented in 2-hour intervals. |
| Time Zone | The time zone in which you wish the results of the report to appear |
| Date Format | The format in which dates appear in the report |
- Complete the information in the Report Results Delivery section. If you choose to send as an email, separate multiple email addresses with a semi-colon, but note the field has a 100 character limit.
- Complete the information in the Result File Format section.
- Complete the information in the Run the Report section.
- Click Submit.
