What Is the Email Sends by User Report

The Email Sends by User Report shows which user initiated each send in the time period that you specify. You can choose whether to include detail information on each of the sends for each user.

The report contains data for your account. This report does not contain data for your Lock and Publish accounts. Your user profile must be set up as an administrator (you can add users) in order for you to be able to run this report.

The Email Sends by User Report contains the following information:

 

Column Description
Job ID The Email Send ID of the email send sent by the user
Email Name The name of the email content sent with the Email Send.
Email Subject The subject lien of the email sent witht he Email Send.
Delivered Time The time the Email Send was sent.
BCC The number of BCC copies of the email sent with the Email Send.
Count The number of emails sent with the Email Send. This value does not include the BCC value.

Why Run the Email Sends by User Report

Run the Email Sends by User Report to manage the number of emails that a user sends. You might want to manage this number for corporate compliance or to manage costs.

How to Run the Email Sends by User Report

Use the following steps to run the report:

  1. Click the Tracking tab in the navigation bar.
  2. Click my reports.
  3. Click Administrator Reports.
  4. Click Email Sends by User.
  5. Complete the information in the Report Parameters section:
Start Date The first date for which information is included in the report.
End Date The last date for which information is included in the report.
Date Range

This field is available only if you are using a report activity. Valid values include:

  • Custom Date Range Provides fields to specify a static date range. These are the same fields that appear if you are not using a report activity to run the report.
    • Start Date The earliest date for which to include information in the report.
    • End Date The latest date for which to include information in the report.
  • Previous Time Period Provides a field to select the time period over which to run the report. The period is relative to when the report runs.
Exclude Single Sends Determines whether the report includes information for single sends-a special kind of send that can be initiated only by an API call.
Suppress Detail checkbox Determines whether the report contains detail information on each email job for each user.
Time Zone The timezone in which you wish the results of the report to appear
Date Format The format in which dates appear in the report
  1. Complete the information in the Report Results Delivery section.
  2. Complete the information in the Result File Format section.
  3. Complete the information in the Run the Report section.
  4. Click Submit.
