    What Is the Account Send Summary Report

    The Account Send Summary report contains all counts and rates for sends and responses for an account. This information is organized by send.

    If you have an agency or enterprise account, this report may look slightly different than the screenshot here.

    The Account Send Summary report contains the following information:

    Column Description
    Client Name The name of your company.
    Client ID Your account's ID number.
    Sends The total number of emails sent from your account during the time interval you defined.
    Implicit Deliveries The total number of emails that did not receive bounces and are assumed delivered during the time interval you defined.
    Implicit Delivery Rate The percentage of delivered emails over bounced emails during the time interval you defined.
    Overall Bounces The total number of bounces your account has received in the time interval you defined. This includes all hard, soft, technical, and unknown bounces. To learn more about Bounces, see Bounce Mail Management.

    The rest of the fields are not displayed in the screenshot above:

    Overall Bounce Rate The percentage emails you sent that experienced some sort of bounce in the time interval you defined.
    Hard Bounces The total of number of hard bounces your account has received in the time interval you defined.
    Hard Bounce Rate The percentage of emails you sent that experienced hard bounces in the time interval you defined.
    Soft Bounces The total number of soft bounces your account has received in the time interval you defined.
    Soft Bounce Rate The percentage of emails you sent that experienced soft bounces in the time interval you defined.
    Block Bounces The total number of block bounces your account has received in the time interval you defined.
    Block Bounce Rate The percentage of emails you sent that experienced block bounces in the time interval you defined.
    Technical Bounces The total number of technical bounces your account has received in the time interval you defined.
    Technical Bounce Rate The percentage of emails you sent that experienced block bounces in the time interval you defined.
    Unknown Bounces The total number of unknown bounces your account has received in the time interval you defined.
    Unknown Bounce Rate The percentage of emails you sent  that experienced unknown bounces in the time interval you defined.
    Unique Opens The number of unique opens your emails received for the time interval you defined. A unique open means one open per person.
    Cumulative Opens The total number of opens your emails received for the time interval you defined. If one subscriber opened your email multiple times, that number is recorded here.
    Open Rate The percentage of emails that were opened during the time interval you defined. This number is calculated dividing the Unique Opens by Implicit Deliveries.
    Unique Clicks The number of unique clicks you received in the emails you sent during the time interval you defined. Unique clicks means one click per person per link.
    Cumulative Clicks The total number of clicks you received in the emails you sent during the time interval you defined.
    Click Rate The percentage of clicks you received over the number of subscribers sent to. This number is calculated by dividing The Unique Clicks by the Implicit Deliveries.
    Unique Survey Responses The number of unique responses you received from surveys during the time interval you defined. Unique responses means one response per person.
    Cumulative Survey Responses The total number of responses you received from surveys during the time interval you defined. Meaning, if one person responded more than once, that number is recorded here.
    Survey Response Rate The percentage of surveys that received responses during the time interval you defined. This number is calculated by dividing Unique Survey Responses by Implicit Deliveries.
    Unique Conversions The unique number of conversions your emails received for the time interval you defined. Unique conversions means one conversion per person. See Conversion Tracking for more information.
    Cumulative Conversions The total number of conversions your emails received for the time interval you defined.
    Conversion Rate The percentage of conversions you received over the conversions you didn't receive. This number is calculated by dividing Unique Conversions by Implicit Deliveries.
    Unique FTAFs The number of unique subscribers who clicked the Forward to a Friend icon in your emails during the time interval you defined. Unique FTAFs means one click per person.
    Cumulative FTAFs The total number of times subscribers clicked the Forward to a Friend icon in your emails during the time interval you defined. If one subscribers forwarded the email multiple times, that number is recorded here.
    FTAF Rate The percentage of emails that your subscribers forwarded during the time interval you defined.
    Unique FTAF Recipients The number of times your subscribers forwarded your emails to during the time interval you defined. For example, if one subscriber clicked the FTAF icon and forward the email to five people, only one instance will be recorded here.
    Cumulative FTAF Recipients The total number of individuals your subscribers forwarded your emails to during the time interval you defined. For example, if one subscriber clicked the FTAF icon and forwarded the email to five people, each of those individuals is recorded here.
    FTAF Recipient Rate The percentage of forwarded emails. This number is calculated by taking the Unique FTAF Recipients number over the Total Delivered.
    Unique FTAF Subscribers The number of individuals who subscribed to your lists as a result of a subscriber clicking the Forward to a Friend icon during the time interval you defined.
    FTAF Subscriber Rate The percentage of people who subscribed after receiving the forwarded email as compared to those who did not subscribe. This number is calculated by dividing FTAF Recipient Rate by Implicit Deliveries.
    Complaint Deliveries The total number of emails delivered to domains for which complaints were received. For example, if you sent 300 emails to example.com and one of those emails received a spam complaint, the number listed here would be 300.
    Unique Complaints The number of unique spam complaints your account received during the time interval you defined. Unique complaints means one complaint per subscriber per email, even if that subscriber complained multiple times about one message.
    Cumulative Complaints The total number of spam complains your account received during the time interval you defined. Every time a subscriber complains, this number increases.
    Complaint Rate The percentage of your emails that received spam complaints during the time interval you defined.
    Unique Unsubscribes The unique number of unsubscribes your account received during the time interval you defined. Unique unsubscribes means that if one subscriber unsubscribes from more than one email list, only one instance is recorded here. To learn how unsubscribes are handled, see Unsubscribes.
    Cumulative Unsubscribes The total number of unsubscribes your account received during the time interval you defined.
    Unsubscribe Rate The percentage of subscribers who unsubscribed as compared to those who did not during the time interval you defined. This number is calculated by dividing Unique Unsubscribes by Implicit Deliveries.

    Delivery Log

    To see the same data differentiated by email send, go to the second page and view the Delivery Log. The Delivery Log lists the same fields as in the Account Send Summary for each send you performed during the time interval you defined.

    Why Run the Account Send Summary Report

    Run the Account Send Summary report to view your total send and response data for your account. This report tells you where your strengths lie as well as areas you may need to work on in regard to deliverability. For example, if your bounce rate is higher than you'd like, you may need to consider alternative approaches to deliverability. 

    How to Run the Account Send Summary Report

    Use the following steps to run the report:

    1. Click the Tracking tab in the navigation bar.
    2. Click my reports.
    3. Click Tracking Reports.
    4. Click Account Send Summary.
    5. Complete the Report Parameters section as desired.
      • Start Date - The report starts gathering data at 12:00 a.m. on the date you define here.
      • End Date - The report stops gathering data at 11:59 p.m. on the date you define here.
      • Exclude Single Sends - Single Sends are sends to single subscribers, most often during Test Sends. Choose Yes or No to exclude or include those sends from this report.
      • Exclude Jobs Where Tracking Is Suppressed - At the time of sending, you had the option to suppress tracking. Choose Yes or No to exclude or include jobs where you suppressed tracking.
      • Time Zone - Any time-related data will display in the time zone you choose. Also, the time zone affects the Start Date and End Date fields you defined previously.
      • Date Format - Any date-related data will display in the format you choose.
      • Report Results Delivery - You have three options:
        • Save Report for FTP - Choosing this option saves the report in your Enhanced FTP directory in a reports folder. You must define a file name.
        • Email the Report Results - Choosing this option emails you a copy of the report. You must fill out an email address, subject, and any comments you want included in the body of the email. Separate multiple email addresses with a semi-colon, but note the field has a 100 character limit. 
      • Results File Format - Choose the output file type you'd like to save the report as: .CSV, .XLS, or .MHT
      • Run The Report -  You can choose to either run the report immediately or schedule to run it later. If you choose to schedule the report, you must define a date and time.
    6. Click Submit.
