Resubscribing Contacts and LeadsFrom $1Why Resubscribe Leads and ContactsIf a Lead or Contact accidentally unsubscribes from your email sends, you can resubscribe the Lead or Contact using one of the two methods listed below:
How to Resubscribe a Contact or Lead in the Salesforce Application InterfaceNOTE: You can perform this procedure only if you have the Administrative Data Management user permission. Contact your ExactTarget representative for more information on this user permission. This function is included with all new subscriptions. If you need to upgrade an existing account, please install the software package located at this link: https://login.salesforce.com/?startURL=%2Fpackaging%2FinstallPackage.apexp%3Fp0%3D04t30000000994b Use the following steps to resubscribe a Contact or Lead:
The system removes the Lead or Contact from the unsubscribe list and clears the Email Opt Out field. NOTE: The Email Opt Out field applies to all contact between you and the Salesforce contact. To allow list-level unsubscribes, you can set up list options in the ExactTarget application's Profile Center and map those lists to custom fields in Salesforce. You can then use the status in those custom fields to build subscriber lists. For more information on mapping fields, please refer to the ExactTarget for Appexchange Configuration Guide For Salesforce Enterprise and Unlimited Editions or the ExactTarget for Appexchange Configuration Guide for Salesforce Professional Edition, depending on your account.
