How To Send an Email Using Test Send

Note: A test send counts as a send in the application and against the threshold you purchased. 

To send a test send, follow this procedure:

1. Click the Content tab.
2. Click my emails.
3. Select the email you wish to send.
4. Click Send.
5. Click Test Send.
   The Test Send dialog box appears.
6. Enter up to five email addresses you wish to send to. The email address you use with your account automatically appears in the field the first time you use this feature. After that, the emails you used previously appear in the email address fields.
7. Click Send.

Remember that if you use personalization strings in your email, they will not resolve in a test send. You will see the actual personalization string in the email in your inbox.

If you use dynamic content in your email, the default content is what will appear in your inbox. To test dynamic content on a subscriber-by-subscriber basis, see Send Preview.

To view tracking for your test send, you must look in the Test Send folder under the tracking tab.
