What Is a File Transfer ActivityA file transfer is an activity to use to upload a file to or download a file from a transfer location that you specify. The file transfer activity transfers files securely. This activity can also unencrypt or uncompress a file. When you define a file transfer activity in the system, you provide information that the activity uses each time it runs. The information gives the specifics of the file to unencrypt or uncompress. PropertiesWhen you define a file transfer activity, you first indicate whether the activity Downloads (gets) or Uploads (puts) the specified file in the specified location. File Transfer Qualifications
UploadThis information applies when you have selected Upload from the Transfer Type options. Public KeyAfter you have created keys in the Key Management section under the Admin tab, your keys appear in the Public Key dropdown. You choose the appropriate key from the dropdown menu and use it as part of the file encryption process. See the Encryption Key Management page for more information on encrypted key management.
